Our accounting associate will perform diverse accounting functions to support the accounting and finance activities at Beghou Consulting. This role will be primarily responsible for facilitating various aspects of the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate financial data entry, reconciling expenses, and maintaining meticulous records.
We'll trust you to:
- Ensure timely submission and approval of employee expenses with necessary receipt documentation.
- Code expenses to the correct GL account, department, and project, in compliance with company policy.
- Maintain controls and processes for employee expenses, and reconcline statements with expense reports.
- Process daily Accounts Payable, ensuring proper approvals and coding.
- Print and mail checks weekly and as needed.
- Post A/R cash receipts in Sage Intacct and Ruddr.
- Maintain Billing Summary file and resolve A/P and A/R issues.
- Serve as the point-of-contact for vendor and customer documents.
- Post cash and credit card transactions in ERP
- Update daily cash forecast for all Beghou entities.
- Reconcile cash weekly.
- File and remit sales tax monthly.
- Handle state registrations, annual reports, and fixed asset register.
- Assist HR with 401(k) calculations and support annual audits and other initiatives.
- Assist with various ad hoc finance and accounting projects.
You'll need to have:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably with a consulting firm.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency with Sage Intacct is highly preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with others and adapt quickly.
- High integrity with a strong work ethic.
