Position Purpose
We’re seeking spirited “can do” people to join our Manufacturing team in the exciting world of hazmat compliance. Experience in maintenance is preferred. This is a fast paced environment and requires a great attitude, attention to detail, punctuality and great quality control. Your ability to collaborate with others, communicate, and be dependable are all crucial for this job and able to stand for the whole day.
Position Purpose
As a Maintenance Technician II (MT2) you will be present at work location as scheduled, mechanically inclined, able to trace electrical faults and be responsible to perform maintenance on print shop equipment and repair activities at the facility using various tools. Ideal candidate is flexible with their schedule as needed while being organized and with pride must be able to demonstrate and share an understanding of how important it is to keep equipment up and running with minimal downtime. Has a positive, fix it mentality and promotes equipment operator safety.
Is responsible to meet all company safety and compliance standards. Willingness and desire to grow within the position including additional learning, development, and training in all areas of company maintenance.
Essential Functions & Principal Accountabilities
- Performs Technical and Mechanical work in Manufacturing Plant, Production Assembly area and Facilities Maintenance needs. Ability to diagnose malfunctions.
- Reviews current Maintenance Program and recommends and assists with streamlining changes for overall efficiencies with Maintenance Technician and Leadership.
- Ensures equipment is properly maintained, machine guarded and operating in a safe manner with a safety-first mentality.
- Becomes subject matter expert with all equipment.
- Time Management, planning needs and is motivated and ability to work independently or with others. Prioritizes daily work.
- Identify and logs issues and concisely shares potential risks and completes repairs.
- Provides daily status updates on all open repairs or issues with estimated completion dates.
- Work with outside vendors or contractors as needed.
- Assists with maintaining PM Program for various equipment while meeting schedules with neat and timely record keeping including ensuring procedures are updated as needed.
- Is responsible to become proficient with company management software including QT9 and ensure proper entry of all information, work-orders in the system being current always.
- Assists with managing Spare Parts Inventory for commonly needed parts on all equipment.
- Keeps tools neat and organized along with owner’s manuals, easy to locate and use for various repairs.
- Assist with 6S Implementation.
- Provides technical support for maintenance functions.
- Lock-out Tag-out Experience
- Generator Operation Experience
- Good follow-up and communication skills

Education/Training/Experience
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 2-5 years hands-on Mechanical, Facility and Utility Experience desired
Preferred Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Experience with Production and Machining equipment a plus.
- Ability to trace electrical faults
- Experience using various tools
- Knowledge of machine controls and operation helpful.
- Excellent reasoning and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to multi-task and handle priorities changing.
- Ability to work overtime and Saturday’s when needed.
- Team Player-willingness to assist others.
- Ability to communicate English.
- Ability to read/write English.
- Basic algebraic abilities as well as ability to read and interpret measurements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be eighteen years of age.
- Must pass the Drug Test.
- Must pass the Background Check.
Essential Physical Demands
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds in a physical environment. Ability to stand for periods of time up to and exceeding 60 minutes. Ability to make repetitive movements, including, but not limited to, bending, or squatting.#ZIP
