The Position


Intersport is seeking to add a smart and driven Account Executive, Ticket Sales to its Strategic Partnerships team, in support of Intersport’s College Sports and Golf verticals. The Strategic Partnerships team leads revenue generation efforts through sponsorship, media, and ticket sales efforts. The AE should be a driven and positive individual, committed to becoming a sports and entertainment sale leader. The primary focus of this position is selling all of Intersport’s ticket packages across the agency’s event portfolio.

All sales relationships will be derived from making outbound calls and cultivating relationships in multiple markets and as such the AE will be responsible for driving individual, group, and VIP ticket sales for numerous live event sports properties throughout the calendar year. The right candidate will have experience and proven success in ticket sales, whether for a team or other sports or entertainment property and will possess a consultative approach and commitment to high-volume, high-energy sales outreach to achieve their goals.

Responsibilities


General

  • Embody and reflect Intersport’s performance-based culture and commit him/herself and team to the highest standards for all work
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver executional excellence

Business Development

  • Provide expertise in assigned properties
  • Sell new ticket packages – individual, group, VIP, and potentially travel packages, luxury suites and/or sponsorship packages
  • Provide consistent high-volume outbound sales calls
  • Work events, nights, weekends and holidays as assigned (i.e. answer phones, work sales booths, visit clients)
  • Represent the organization at events/off-site community events promoting sales
  • Prospect and qualify all potential sales opportunities in addition to any leads provided
  • Maintain computerized records of all customers and prospects with our CRM system
  • Provide excellent customer service to prospects and current clients over the phone and during games and events
  • Attend weekly meetings and actively participate in training sessions
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned

Qualifications


  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in successful ticket sales for a sports team, sports or entertainment property or related organization
  • Strong desire to be a sales industry leader
  • Ability to comfortably and persuasively present sales material to potential clients
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Commitment to personal integrity
  • Ability to manage multiple programs/projects concurrently, inclusive of a detail oriented and organized approach
  • Application of superior prioritization and time-management skills
  • Ability to produce high quality work at a fast pace
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive, team player with a strong work ethic
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Willingness and ability to work long hours, including holidays and weekends as required
  • Ability to travel for business on trips typically lasting between three (3) and four (4) days
  • Ideally located in Tampa, FL as the CRO is located in Tampa and would like to have regular in-person meetings
