About the role
An opportunity has come up to play a key role in JOLT's development, driving and building the People & Culture function to cover an initial sabbatical period of minimum 6 months with opportunities for permanency and global deployment as the business grows. Reporting into the CFO with close collaboration with the Executive Leadership Team, this is a great chance to be a part of an inspiring and disruptive global start up.
How you’ll make an impact
Nurture our teams across Australia, UK, Canada, and New Zealand to perform at their best, to achieve our ambitions growth targets in EV charging installations. You will be responsible for shaping JOLT’s culture and managing the end to end employee experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage end to end recruitment and attraction across the JOLT geographies
- Monitor and maintain our onboarding program
- Work with team leaders to refine team structures including building a job description library
- Drive the Annual Performance Discussion Program to ensure continuous feedback is being exchanged between teams and talent development opportunities identified
- Embed and improve the new learning & development program, engaging staff with library content and upskilling staff across a variety of delivery frameworks
- Embed the JOLT Core Principles into the everyday, advocating for them to be at the heart of all interactions
- Implement a wellbeing program to boost engagement and support staff experiencing difficult times
- Maintain the office environment including regular social activities to provide ongoing opportunities for connection
- Manage the HRIS platform ensuring all employee data and records are accurate
- Initiate monthly payroll, feeding in relevant employee pay information and changes ahead of cut-off, and liaising with employees as needed
- Oversee external IT support and helpdesk to ensure that staff have the needed tools and access
- Liaise with the Executive Team and address any IR/ER issues
- Create and manage employee policies and procedures, managing risk and ensuring labour code compliance in each jurisdiction
What we are looking for:
- Minimum 8+ years in generalist People & Culture role with experience in managing recruitment, engagement, and HR operations
- Understanding of HR principles, practices, and regulations.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strategic thinking and planning capabilities.
- Ability to drive cultural change and foster employee engagement.
- Experience in a standalone role, working closely with the Executive team, highly regarded
