As a Cloud Sales Specialist, you will be managing a territory, sales objectives, client relationships, and year-over-year growth. Developing transactional and recurring revenue streams specific to cloud-based workloads. Skills development and certification to identify, qualify and sell the company’s offerings in public, private and hybrid cloud. Mentor to junior/inside sales team.

What You’ll Do:


  • Proficient in public cloud offerings and services specific to IBM Cloud and IBM Power Virtual Server
  • Understanding of enterprise IT workloads to target and motivate migration of applications to the cloud
  • Develop recurring cloud services revenue streams year over year
  • Develop transactional cloud sales year over year
  • Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analyzing sales options.
  • Sells products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects; recommends solutions.
  • Maintains relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements.
  • Identifies product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
  • Enhances staff accomplishments and competence by planning delivery of solutions; answering technical and procedural questions for less experienced team members; teaching improved processes; mentoring team members.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

What You’ll Need:


  • University degree/diploma
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales positions in the IT industry
  • Evidence of successful sales track record
  • Client references
  • Successful completion of sample proposals
  • Familiarity with cloud-based solutions and products
