Full-timeDescriptionPerforms molecular genetics assays and general laboratory maintenance forthe Microarray team.
Schedule: Sunday - Thursday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Primary Responsibilities:
• Conducts laboratory assays in the Microarray department (whole genome amplification,fragmentation, precipitation, hybridization, and staining) using the Illumina microarrayplatform.• Prepares and maintains reagent stocks• Monitors supply inventories• Maintains records of laboratory work and sample tracking• Follows all laboratory procedures and policies, including quality control and qualitysystem activities, and documents appropriately all records, deviations, and correctiveactions as required• Operates and maintains sophisticated laboratory equipment to complete experiments inan efficient manner• Assists with troubleshooting issues with assays, equipment, or procedures
Secondary Responsibilities:
• Assists with other laboratory production pipelines as neededRequirements
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree or higher a Biological Science or related field• Excellent laboratory technique, with high accuracy and precision, including pipettingskills, sterile technique, and ability to follow laboratory protocols without deviation• Ability to work efficiently and accurately with large amounts of samples and data• Must have meticulous organization skills and a high attention to detail• Computer literacy of Microsoft Word and Excel, and ability to navigate laboratory LIMSsystems• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in writing• Minimum of 1 year previous relevant laboratory experience, preferably with microarrayplatforms and/or general molecular genetics assays and techniquesSalary Description20-22/hr
