The Opportunity


Our client's remediation team is dedicated to re-engineering and modernizing core financial systems, and performing various financial planning, analysis, and management functions. These assets are impacted by the implementation of a new state accounting system, requiring extensive remediation. This multiyear project aims to transition to a modern financial management solution, including the adoption of standardized business processes, a new chart of accounts, and the redevelopment of interfaces to the statewide accounting system.

We are seeking a talented  Data Integration Engineer to join our client's team. This role is critical in analyzing current integrations, creating migration plans, and executing these migrations using Informatica. You will also mentor staff on leveraging Informatica for future data integrations, ensuring smooth transitions and compliance with new financial data requirements.This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a transformative project that will impact the financial infrastructure of the entire state.   • Develop migration plans for current interfaces to leverage modern technologies such as Informatica using industry best practices and subject matter expertise.
  • Document data element inputs and outputs for Department computing assets interfacing with the Department of Financial Services system, including manual data entry, scripting solutions, batch uploads, data extracts, outgoing interfaces, and reports.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy data integration solutions focusing on financial data accuracy and integrity.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand financial data requirements and develop financial reporting data models for analysis.
  • Evaluate, select, and implement data integration tools and technologies, prioritizing financial data security and efficiency.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data integration solutions.
  • Mentor staff on best practices for leveraging Informatica tools.
  • Create documentation for financial data integration processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and facilitating team knowledge transfer.
  • Adhere to existing development standards and develop detailed source-to-target technical mapping and specification documents.
  • Ensure compliance with financial data regulations and industry standards.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members to ensure successful implementation of financial data integration projects.
  • Work with the reports remediation team to meet their data requirements for the  project.
  • Participate in SCRUM meetings, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and sprint retrospectives.

Compensation and Term This opportunity is for a full-time, contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $155,000 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.Qualifications you

A successful Data Integration Engineer has the following experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems. Equivalent work experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis.
  • Extensive experience in building ETL data pipelines using Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).
  • Strong background in relational database SQL analysis, including DB2 on ZOS, SQL Server, Azure SQL, Snowflake Data Cloud, and Oracle.
  • At least seven (7) years of experience in data integration and data warehousing.
  • At least three (3) years of experience with with IICS/IDMC data integration services, such as Cloud Data Integration, Mass Ingestion, App Integration, Data Quality, and CDGC.
  • Proven experience handling large volumes of multi-formatted delimited flat files, COBOL files with packed decimal values, and other file formats.
  • Proficient in using Power Exchange Connectors for ZOS.
  • Skilled in FTP, SFTP, and Managed File Transfer methodologies.
  • Strong SQL skills for database management and analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both in a team environment and independently.
  • Knowledgeable in Agile Project Management methodologies and practices.
  • Familiar with the SCRUM framework.
  • Advanced expertise in building data pipelines with IICS services.
  • Significant experience with multi-formatted delimited flat files and COBOL files.
  • Extensive use of Power Exchange Connectors for ZOS.
  • Strong background in FTP, SFTP, and Managed File Transfer methods.
