This position is responsible for organizing, directing, training, and effectively communicating productivity, efficiency, andbehavioral expectations to the personnel on the production line to which they are assigned as lead, while ensuring that operatingprocedures are followed and quality standards are met. This position is also responsible for communicating any issues (quality,productivity, personnel, etc.) to line supervision and/or production management in a timely manner. This position is responsiblefor monitoring quality on the assigned line and ensuring that the product being packed out matches the specifications providedby quality control, as well as communicating those requirements to line personnel.Requirements

Required Qualifications:


  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Completion of high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to provide proof of identity and authorization to work in the U.S.; and
  •  Ability to effectively communicate in English (speak, read, and write).

Essential Job Functions:


  • Ensures all line personnel comply with required PPE and GMP.
  • Organizes and directs line set-up and changeovers.
  • Instruct line personnel on the correct method for replenishing components.
  • Understands and communicates correct procedures for retrieving, counting, and refurbishing components.
  • Understands and communicates correct processes for palletizing and locating finished products.
  • Demonstrates proficient knowledge in locating and interpreting product quality requirement documents.
  • Accurately completes and submits all paperwork associated with the lead role.
  • Identifies opportunities to optimize workflow.
  • Trains new line personnel on the work to be performed.
  • Oversees the work of line personnel to ensure that productivity, efficiency, and quality standards are met.
  • Attends and participates in weekly line lead meetings.
  • Ensures line clearances are properly executed and verified at the completion of the job.
  •  Ensures start-up QC is called at the beginning of any new job/lot.
  • Capable of correctly setting up designated equipment on time as determined by Management.
  • Maintains a neat, clean, safe, and orderly work area.
  • Follows Management directions.
  • Follows all Company safety rules/procedures and abides by all Company policies.
  • Other duties as may be occasionally assigned by the Management team.

Job Competencies


  • Understands and effectively communicates expectations for all line tech and filler positions.
  • Understands and effectively communicates the correct method for assembling packaging components.
  • Demonstrates ability to identify and communicate quality issues on all finished products, components, and mixes on the production line.
  • Demonstrates ability to read, understand, and explain Job Traveler Sheet.
  • Demonstrates dependability and reliability by maintaining good attendance.
