This presents a unique opportunity to be part of a team that is creating a product with a profound impact on our customers, working on cutting-edge 100,000-pound autonomous robots, engineering intricate systems at the intersection of hardware, software, and AI, and joining the early stages of an exciting startup journey.About the RoleAs a Firmware Engineer, you will be working with a small team to implement, test, and validate on-board firmware used for Teleo's Supervised Autonomy.With a high attention to detail, you will be involved in the testing, validation, and deployment of firmware on proprietary Teleo ECUs.

Interfacing daily with software, and hardware engineers, you will be directly involved in the launch of new heavy equipment supported by Teleo.The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in developing high-quality firmware on microcontrollers with a clear safety driven passion for robotics .

Minimum Qualifications


  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science in progress
  • Proven experience bringing up PCBAs, µC and developing algorithms on RTOS
  • Strong interest in embedded firmware development for safety-critical application

Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience in board hardware bring-up
  • History of contributing to projects in C/C++/Rust/Python ideally using software development tools (such as GitHub)
  • Strong experience working with embedded microcontrollers (Ti, NXP, STM, ESP...)
  • Experience with protocols/interfaces such as I2C, CAN, PWM, SPI
  • Experience with Linux (bash, Python, git) command-line scripting and revision control
  • Interest in developing hardware in the loop tests and automation for manufacturing
  • Ability to travel to construction job sites
  • Interest in robotics and autonomous vehicles in particular
