Staff Product Data Analyst (Remote)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Staff Data Analyst to join our Product Leadership Team. In this role, you will report directly to the VP of Data Engineering and work closely with the VP of Product and the product directors. Your primary responsibility will be to build and manage the product analytics framework, helping us identify which features are worth building and understanding what drives our business metrics. What you’ll do:


  • Build Product Analytics Framework: Develop and maintain a robust product analytics framework to evaluate the impact of new features and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive Data-Driven Decisions: Partner with the VP of Product and other product leaders to provide data-driven insights that inform product strategy and development.
  • Product Metrics: Support key product metrics such as product north star, product usage, customer health score, and experimentation results to guide decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Business Analytics: Work closely with the Business Analytics team to ensure they have access to product metrics and insights that support broader business objectives.
  • Data Visualization and Reporting: Partner with the Data Platform team to pull data from the data warehouse and visualize it in a meaningful way for stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Clearly communicate findings and insights to a broad range of stakeholders, including managers and executives across all departments.
  • Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior analysts to foster a culture of data-driven decision making.

What you’ll bring:


  • Experience: 10+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role, with a strong track record of success in high-growth, fast-paced startup environments
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in writing analytical SQL and experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Sigma). Experience with analytical programming languages (Python, R, SAS) is a plus.
  • Advanced Analytics: Hands-on experience with advanced analytics techniques, including regression analysis, predictive modeling, A/B testing, and machine learning(Optional). Ability to apply these methods to product analysis to drive insights and recommendations
  • Statistical Knowledge: Understanding of regression and other statistical methods, with the ability to apply them effectively in a business context
  • Communication Skills: Confidence in communicating with C-Level executives and the ability to explain complex analyses to non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaboration: Experience working with customer-facing departments like Customer Success, Sales, or Customer Support
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement and making recommendations
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment, thriving in both autonomy and collaboration

This role will receive a competitive base salary, benefits, and equity. The applicable salary range for each US-based role is based on where the employee works and is aligned to one of 3 tiers based on the cost of labor for that geographic area. The expected salary ranges for this role are set forth below. Tier 1: $170,000 - $210,000Tier 2: $153,000 - $189,000Tier 3: $136,000 - $168,000Hereyou can view which geographic pay tier applies to you, based on where you permanently reside and work. A variety of factors are considered when determining someone’s leveling and compensation – including a candidate’s professional background and experience.
