Job Description
- Provide assistance in the installation of inner duct and fiber optics cable around airport runways, taxiways, and terminals
- Tasks include but not limited to handling fiber optics and inner duct cables without damage, managing large cable reels, lubricating cables as they enter the manhole, and assisting in the overall safety procedures.
- Directions and instructions will be provided on site by team lead and Engineer
- Must have experience with communications and / or telecommunications, preferably with the installation and integration of FAA communication equipment / systems.
- Must have a basic understanding of the use of manual and power tools, and test equipment, such as multimeter, ohmmeter,
power meter, oscilloscope, etc., and must be able to climb antenna towers 100 feet or greater.
- Must have the ability to independently recognize problems/issues
encountered during installations, troubleshoot, and implement solution to
complete the project.
Schedule: Mon-Thur (40 hours a week).
Qualifications
- Associates Degree preferred
- Required to work in a high risk environment with active passenger aircraft movement nearby
- Able to occasionally perform assigned work under severe time restraints
