Position Description
The IT Project Manager position, reporting to the Head of Digital Technology will provide comprehensive project management support to the Executive Sponsor to ensure Origis Energy's business requirements and desired outcomes are realized from the internally developed Data Warehouse System(SOLARIS) project. This role involves advising and consulting on strategic outcomes, serving as a primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, ensuring data model alignment with company needs, and working closely with technical teams to deliver customized data visualizations and reporting solutions.The IT Project Manager is a regular, full-time position, and is eligible for our generous employee benefits package, including employer paid health insurance, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employer matching contributions, and other great benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide project management support to the Executive Sponsor for the internally developed Data Warehouse System (SOLARIS)
- Ensure business requirements and desired outcomes are realized
- Advise and consult Origis Energy on achieving strategic outcomes from the Business Intelligence initiative
- Ensure stakeholder alignment and engagement across all business units and departments are realized
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Origis Energy Leadership and internal stakeholders
- Capture and consolidate business requirements and outcomes for the SOLARIS Data Warehouse project
- Provide input to ensure the Data Model design aligns with the company’s information and data needs
- Work with the Executive Sponsors and leadership to incorporate data security and create methods to validate data integrity
- Collaborate with Origis Leadership to ensure Power BI data visualizations meet specific reporting requirements
- Work directly with the technical internal team and offshore team(s) to ensure project milestones are met
- Assist in creating structured internal processes and procedures for populating, updating, and maintaining the SOLARIS Data Warehouse
- Prepare periodic progress updates for the Executive Sponsor on platform adoption and usage
- Maintain the Security matrix in SOLARIS as General Admin, adding roles and assigning employees to roles
- Perform other reasonable and necessary duties as directed by the digital team leadership
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager or Product Owner in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of Business Intelligence, data warehousing, and data visualization.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- Familiarity with Power BI and data security practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key Attributes for Success
- Experience in the renewable energy sector or similar industries.
- Certification in Project Management (PMP) or Agile Methodologies
