PURPOSE:

The Manager of Warehousing and Distribution oversees all the warehouse functions and the inventory management of materials to support TechOps. Responsibilities include the proper storing, binning, DG labeling and shipping, securing the inventory and maintaining inventory integrity. The manager develops, implements, and documents all processes, procedures, and tracking and reporting KPI metrics.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


1) Benchmarking and planning of supply chain activities

  • Forecasting requirements - understand maintenance scheduling and aircraft requirements
  • Streamline repair process and core returns 
  • Inventory availability 
  • Fill rates 
  • Repair process return time 

2) Collaborate with operations to define material service requirements

  • Understand TechOps requirements; MEL, Deferred maintenance items, etc. to ensure aircraft reliability and readiness
  • Minimize scrap / spoilage
  • Identify, procure, and stage maintenance requirement to ensure availability 
  • Maintain first in first out (FIFO) inventory process

3) Manage inventory integrity

  • Manage and retain inventory expiry reports. 
  • Streamline logistic requirements including MRO requirements & Aircraft induction needs 
  • Cycle count process 
  • Maintain compliance with consignment storing and reporting requirements 
  • Manage shelf-life expiration report and file to ensure compliance 
  • Ensure inventory is processed properly, timely, and retrieved while supporting our MRO partners

4) Facility requirements

  • Maintain facility compliance 
  • Develop monthly checklist to ensure GMM compliance 
  • Identify and clearly mark Hazardous Material 
  • Develop checklist to ensure stores is following regulatory requirements
  • Stage and clearly mark all dangerous goods 

5) Negotiate freight agreements

  • Ensure shipping costs are economical and justified. 
  • Establish agreements to support our distribution requirements 

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in airlines/aviation or inventory analytics.
  • College degree in business or related field preferred; a combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.
  • Recent project management/leadership experience.
  • Previous warehousing and distribution, purchasing or inventory planning experience.
  • Tenacious problem solving and continuous improvement mindset with the ability to work through complex problems to identify root causes and develop effective, simple solutions
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Excellent computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Foster and develop teamwork and leadership that embraces our company’s “Purpose, Values and Vision”.
  • Must be able to move throughout the office or line maintenance environments for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 50-75%.
  • Comfortable in a casual-dress business environment, with occasional business attire for meetings/presentations.
