Job Summary
: The Trainer will develop and deliver training programs to support the Department of Labor (DOL) technical assistance and training projects. This role involves creating training materials, facilitating training sessions, and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs.
Key Responsibilities
:
- Develop training curricula and materials based on project requirements and workforce development best practices.
- Deliver training sessions, both virtual and in-person, to a variety of audiences.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvements.
- Collaborate with project team members to ensure training materials are aligned with project goals.
- Provide ongoing support and technical assistance to training participants.
- Conduct needs assessments to identify training gaps and opportunities.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in training and workforce development.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation on training activities and outcomes.
Qualifications
:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design, public administration, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in training and development; 6 or more years for Senior Trainer.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design.
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
- Ability to develop engaging and effective training materials.
- Proficiency in using training software and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to travel as needed.
