We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Director of Content to lead and elevate our content strategy. This person will be a key member of the marketing team at a fast-growing, Series C B2B SaaS startup. This role is pivotal in driving our brand's thought leadership, content creation, and distribution efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in content marketing, a strategic mindset, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams to deliver impactful content that aligns with our business objectives.You will join the growing Brand and Communications team and lead a team of in-house and freelance resources to build a leading brand in design, copy, and conceptual thinking.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy that drives brand awareness, engagement, and leads.
- Create results-driven campaign content strategies that support marketing goals and objectives.
- Manage and mentor a team of content writers, editors, and freelancers, ensuring high-quality content delivery.
- Oversee the recruitment and management of freelance talent to supplement the internal content team.
- Lead research projects to gather insights and data that inform content development and strategy.
- Develop robust thought leadership programs aligned with product marketing and trends in governance, risk, and compliance.
- Oversee the development and management of content for user conferences, ensuring engaging and valuable presentations and materials.
- Collaborate with event teams to create compelling content that enhances the attendee experience and can live on beyond the event.
- Work closely with demand generation, communications, events, and subject matter experts to ensure content aligns with business goals and resonates with target audiences.
- Ensure all content initiatives are aligned with overall marketing campaigns and product launches.
- Stay updated on modern content marketing trends and best practices to keep our strategies cutting-edge and effective.
- Implement innovative content marketing techniques to enhance our content reach and engagement.
What you’ll bring:
- At least eight years of experience in content marketing, with a proven track record of managing content writers and freelancers.
- Extensive experience running research projects and developing campaign content strategies that drive results.
- Demonstrated experience managing content for sizable user conferences and events.
- Proven ability to develop thought leadership programs that align with product marketing and industry trends.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience working with demand generation, communications, events, and subject matter experts.
- A deep understanding of modern content marketing trends and best practices.
- SaaS experience is required; compliance expertise is a bonus.
- Exceptional communication, project management, and leadership skills.
- Compliance and / or GRC industry knowledge is a plus.

This role will receive a competitive base salary, benefits, and equity. The applicable salary range for each US-based role is based on where the employee works and is aligned to one of 3 tiers based on the cost of labor for that geographic area. The expected salary ranges for this role are set forth below. Tier 1: $191,250 - $236,250Tier 2: $172,125 - $212,625Tier 3: $153,000 - $189,000Hereyou can view which geographic pay tier applies to you, based on where you permanently reside and work.
