Looking for all material handlers, lumpers, container sorters and general warehouse laborers!


Summary


The Warehouse Laborer/RPC Sorter is responsible for hand sorting reusable plastic containers by manufacturer and size onto pallets.  An RPC is a “Returnable Plastic Container” weighing about 10 ounces that is used to ship produce, eggs, meat, and other goods. All employment is contingent on a background check and drug screen, in accordance with local and state laws and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Hand Stacking RPC’s on pallets to appropriate height, following inventory control instructions
  • Examining products for quality standards
  • RPC Sorter must ensure all trash and debris is removed prior to returning to customer
  • Wrapping sorted pallets and securing for shipment
  • Moving pallets or materials on pallets or in crates around the storage facility
  • Ability to complete all production paperwork with accuracy
  • Communicates directly with Shift Lead or On-Site Manager

Education and/or Experience


  • Good math, language and reading skills with attention to detail 
  • High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment
  • Follow instructions for keeping records
  • Understanding that overtime may be required

  • Ability to work in extreme conditions to include, but not limited to, elements, heat, cold, and air particulate 
  • Repetitively adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths 
  • The noise level in the work environment is dependent on location.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include, close vision, distance vision and color vision.
  • Must have a good sense of balance & good eye-hand-foot coordination
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
