Hilcorp Energy is located in Downtown Houston. This is a part-time position, fully in office, for a current student wanting to expand their experience in information technology.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Responsible for diagnosing and resolving unique, nonrecurring problems associated with application software and operating systems; determine the source of problems and classify their level, priority and nature.
- Configure, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot and support computer workstations, laptops, printers, mobile devices, phones and other computer and telecommunications equipment.
- Install and support PC, laptop, tablet and mobile hardware and software, as instructed.
- Create alternative methods of completing tasks, correcting user errors and system inconsistencies to improve the desktop team function.
- Participate in hardware and software reviews and recommend purchases.
- Maintain inventory of installed software, manage software licensing and create policies and procedures for upgrades.
- Performs other IT projects as assigned.

- Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.
- Other duties as assigned by management.

Other Job Responsibilities:
- Contribute to Infrastructure projects as assigned. May include networking, security, servers, cloud computing environments, etc.

Education Requirements:
- Currently a Sophomore, Junior or Senior at an accredited 4-year university or college with a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
