Job Description:
Hilco Disputes Advisory Services is a growing division of Hilco Valuation Services. As a part of Hilco Enterprise Valuation Services, the Disputes Advisory practice provides case assessment, complex financial modeling, valuation analysis, damages formulation, and expert witness testimony in a variety of financial and legal matters. Members of our team often submit expert reports and provide expert testimony at trial, and team members provide vital support for these efforts.We are looking for a Manager/VP to work with staff in support of senior professionals as outlined in the Responsibilities and Requirements sections below.
The ideal candidate will possess experience with valuation, forensic accounting and/or financial due diligence procedures and analysis.This opportunity is to work with highly motivated professionals and utilize your analytic, project management, and organizational skills to ensure projects are managed to successful outcomes.As a Hilco representative, our professionals do not compromise on integrity and understand the importance of fair dealing, personal responsibility and client loyalty.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Demonstrate leadership through managing the team in preparing expert analysis, reports and presentations
Provide point of contact for external clients and internal team members
Develop quality consulting services to attorneys, general counsels, and boards of directors to ensure the end product will support thorough and grounded expert financial opinions
Contribute significantly to expert analysis in the areas of finance, accounting, valuation, or other relevant fields, delivering written and quantitative work product
Create financial models including cash flow analysis, business valuations, economic damages and other analyses as dictated by the needs of each project
Develop and suggest solutions to complex problems by thinking “outside the box” and expand existing project revenue opportunities through development of unique analyses
Assist with the external revenue-generating activities of other senior Hilco colleagues
Demonstrate thought leadership through participating in industry events, continuing education programs (CLE and CPE), authorships, or other outreach as appropriate
Provide mentorship and career development opportunities to our staff level team members
Conduct quality control review of reports and other client deliverables
Contribute to the growth of the practice
REQUIREMENTS:
5 years of financial analysis, expert services, investment or commercial banking, valuation, accounting, or other relevant experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or economics, advanced degrees, and professional certifications are encouraged
Strong Excel, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills
Knowledge of market intelligence platforms (CapitalIQ, Bloomberg, etc.)
Experience in the areas of finance, accounting, valuation, including trend analysis and delivering written and quantitative work product
Experience creating financial models, cash flow analysis, completing business valuations, forensic and other analyses as dictated by each project
Strong review capabilities including expert reports, presentations, proposals and other deliverables
Excellent interpersonal, presentation and writing skills
Energetic and passionate attitude towards dispute and valuation work in a team environment
Ability and willingness to maintain a flexible work schedule to meet project deadlines
Close attention to detail
