With agilon health, physicians are freed from the constraints of the transactional fee-for-service reimbursement model and can practice team-based, coordinated care to serve the individual needs of their older adult patients and to transition to a sustainable and predictable, long-term business model.We are seeking an experienced Principal full-stack software engineer to join our technology team with a focus on building integrations with Epic Systems via their vendor services, as well as open Epic (FHIR) APIs.
Candidates should be located on the US East Coast.You will be part of a team building new front-end applications that will deliver insights at the point of care, as well as improving our current data integration with Epic Systems.
Responsibilities
- Be part of an agile team working collaboratively with UX, Product, and other groups in the business building products to help build both back-end and front-end integrations with Epic Systems
- Design technical solutions and lead delivery of user-facing projects.
- Own all the steps in the development process from feasibility to technical design to implementation to testing to deployment and release.
- Collaborate to validate feasibility and value of planned features.
- Champion engineering excellence best practices.
- Mentor and teach other team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science/information systems or related field with 7-11 years of experience developing full stack responsive web applications on AWS (Amazon Web Services) from initial design through deployment.
- Wireframe design, user experience best practices, Web Services development and security implementation.
- Highly proficient in modern web standards and technologies especially React and NodeJS.
- Strong working knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, CCDs etc.)
- SMART on FHIR App Development and Epic FHIR APIs experience preferred.
- Experience working with SQL across relational databases and cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, PostGreSQL).
- Experience working with semi-structured and unstructured data (JSON, XML, etc.)
- Preferred experience working in scrum or agile teams & understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
- Preferred experience acting or working in a health care integration consultant role, comfortable working with business leadership across corporate verticals to translate business requirements into data architecture.
