We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hardware Technician/System Analyst who will be responsible for providing support, training and troubleshooting for desktop/laptop/tablet computers and associated desktop hardware, software applications, operating systems and network connectivity. Your technical skills and knowledge must be complemented by your commitment to customer service.
Work Location can be in The Woodlands, TX or Atlanta, GA.
Minimum Experience Requirements
5 years experience as a Service Desk Professional or Desktop Support Analyst.
Show a general knowledge of office applications (Microsoft Office, etc.), security software (anti-virus, anti-spyware) and Internet client programs (Web browsers, e-mail clients, etc.).
Demonstrable knowledge of networking and Internet connections.
Working knowledge of Active Directory users, groups and security.
Demonstrable knowledge of printers both locally attached and networked.
Extensive Knowledge of Desktop and Laptop hardware and the ability to perform hardware diagnostics and upgrades
Strong customer service skills, including the ability to communicate (both verbal and written) in a positive manner.
Proven strong analytical ability as well as troubleshooting and reasoning skills.
Strong documentation skills.
The ability to research, document and implement a solution.
The ability to work collaboratively.
Education and Certification Desired
CompTIA A+
Azure certifications
O365 certifications
Any Microsoft or relative certifications
Essential Job Functions
Software and hardware troubleshooting and configuration for desktop/laptop/tablet computers
printer issues, drive mapping, machine imaging, virus and spyware removal
Managing desktops/laptops/tablets using SCCM
Imaging PC’s using SCCM or other imaging tools
Troubleshooting desktop wireless issues.
Asset tracking and disposal for personal computers.
Participating as a member of project teams for personal computer-related projects.
Contribute to the sharing of knowledge and continuous improvement of Enterprise Technology teams by creating, using and sharing knowledge base articles.
The ability to gauge a user’s functional or technical abilities and to adjust your communications with them appropriately.
Participate as a member of project teams, as needed.
Additional Characteristics
Ability to accept after-hours calls for support and guidance, including “on-call.”
This is a full-time on-prem position in either Houston or Atlanta corporate offices and will be required to commute to one of the offices office daily
Proficient with developing publications, white papers, diagrams, and presentations.
Occasional domestic travel is required.
