JOB SUMMARY:


We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Principal Architect to lead the design and implementation of our technical architecture in the fintech space. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and a proven track record in architecting scalable, secure, and high-performance fintech solutions. As a Principal Architect, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the technological direction of our products and ensure alignment with business goals.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


  • Lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and high-performance financial technology solutions. Define the architectural vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide deep technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, ensuring our architecture remains cutting-edge.
  • Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and ensure successful delivery of projects.
  • Develop detailed architecture blueprints, including data models, integration patterns, and infrastructure components. Ensure solutions are robust, maintainable, and align with best practices.
  • Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in the fintech industry. Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks, scalability issues, and system inefficiencies. Conduct architectural reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive innovation by exploring new technologies, methodologies, and approaches to enhance our product offerings. Foster a culture of creativity and technical excellence within the team.
  • Communicate architectural decisions, strategies, and progress to executive leadership and other stakeholders. Provide technical insights to support business decision-making.
  • Definition, implementation, and execution of the processes used for software development and hardware buildouts. Includes standards, frameworks, and solutions, within best practices, for the teams to follow. 
  • Architectural leadership in the resolutions of inter-program and inter-project issues 
  • Guide teams to best practices within technology and monitor technical debt.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in software architecture, with at least 5 years in a senior or principal architect role, preferably in the fintech industry.
  • Extensive experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices architecture, API design, and enterprise integration patterns. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, TOGAF) are a plus.
  • Familiarity with blockchain, machine learning, and artificial intelligence applications in fintech.

WORK ENVIRONMENT


While performing the logistics duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moderate noises such as computers, printers, and other light traffic noise in an office setting.This role is in-office.Remote work may be performed from a pre-approved location, as arranged, and scheduled by team management and approved by department leadership.
