Job Summary:
A proposal specialist is responsible for evaluating Request for Proposals for clients will review all proposals for compliance, effectiveness and accuracy. They will ensure that the document delivers all GDT's critical information as well as pricing offers and related terms of service. A Proposal Specialist also meets with the client to formally discuss the RFP and respond to their inquiries, concerns, and requests.
Key Responsibilities:
·Works with managed and professional services to develop proposals that specifically address the needs and interests of each prospective client. ·Drafts content and/or works with internal teams to write responses to unique proposal RFP questions.·Writes persuasive content to customize a document for a specific prospective client.·Assembles appropriate proposals for specific services within various industries.·Manages timelines carefully and is capable of serving as a project manager for proposal opportunities, keeping the team and document on task to deliver a complete and final document on time.·Identify opportunities for improvement in both the quality of our responses and the efficiency of the response process.·Ensure on-time delivery of each submission according to recipient’s requirements for electronic and/or hard copies.·Lead the sales proposal process from opportunity identification through the successful hand-off to order completion, ensuring full compliance with all policies and process.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
·Ability to interrupt technical drawings·Ability to interact with partners to prepare quotes and answer questions from them·Ability to attend RFP meetings and have interactions with clients to obtain scoping information.·Understanding of best practices and procedures for Cat (6) and fiber implementation to include steps around implementation and testing of cables and connectors·Understanding best practices for racking and stacking of equipment to include but not limited to Network, optical, wireless, data center, security, collaboration.·Ability to generate bill of materials based on scope requirements and information provided by client and internal detail engineersPrevious experience in proposal writing (preferred)·Strong attention to detail, ability to follow process, to meet or re-establish deadlines.·Knowledge of contract/legal terms and conditions (preferred)·Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while quickly adjusting to changing priorities.·Good Interpersonal skills.
Must be able to work well and communicate with individuals at all levels within the organization.·Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail·Excellent written and oral communication skills; and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel)·Exceptional written and verbal communication skills·Work closely with all stakeholders to ensure that best practice approach to content management is shared and implemented.·Proven ability to creatively transform technical jargon into compelling, actionable B2B sales materials.·Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines.·Strong teamwork commitment and willingness to assist others.Ability to prioritize, multi-task and stay ahead of deadlines.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred - Business Management, Business Administration, English, Communications, Journalism, etc
Experience:
