Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Youth and High School Football Outreach is directly responsible for strategically managing the grassroots efforts in growing the game of football and maintaining integrity of the sport throughout Atlanta Falcons markets and beyond. This position will be expected to create and execute various events, programs and initiatives related to youth, tackle and flag football, as well as be actively involved in maintaining and growing relationships in the youth and high school football community.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic efforts and direction for all youth and high school tackle and flag programs, initiatives and events related to football development
- Plan and implement all programming, details and logistics related to youth and high school football events and initiatives
- Act as the primary liaison between the youth and high school football community, fostering strong relationships with schools, athletic associations, local conferences and leagues
- Lead all communication with youth and high school football coaches, athletic directors and key stakeholders in the community across all Falcons markets
- Accurately oversee and maintain complex and comprehensive budgets from various sources, ensuring that all expenditures are justified and aligned with company goals
- Maintain proficient knowledge in all aspects of football rules and restrictions at the youth and high school level, as well as the complete player pathway
- Maintain excellent working relationships with the NFL and proficient working knowledge of NFL initiatives, platforms and goals
- Collaborate across several different functions with the Atlanta Falcons and the broader AMBS+E portfolio to effectively work towards ensuring business goals are met
- Listen and respond to various community stakeholders on the current landscape of football in our markets and develop strategies to assist in amplification or problem solving
- Stay up-to-date with trends, data and best practices to continue driving impact in our communities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of key stakeholders, coaches and athletic directors for consistent communication of available resources and programs
- Oversee gameday programs and organizational needs for youth and high school football
- Maintain the youth football equipment and inventory, including giveaway items, football equipment and other items needed for events
- Assist with various other community relations and youth and high school football initiatives as needed for the department
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or business experience equivalent
- Proficient knowledge of the NFL Football Development rules, programs and initiatives
- 5-7 years of experience in Youth and High School Football, Football Development or Community Relations
- Ability to travel occasionally; non-commercial driver’s license required
