Job Summary:


The Finance Department is currently seeking a Director of Finance with strong accounting, analytics, innovation, cash management, problem solving, and communication skills to join our Finance team in Zionsville, IN.  The Director of Finance will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to our Intellectual Property Information Technology (IPIT) entities including reviewing the monthly close and report creation of the IPIT entities and variance reporting and analysis of expenses, including budgeting and reforecast.

The Director of Finance will assist in the design, implementation, and execution of new processes and procedures. Other responsibilities would include cash management and cash forecasting for the IPIT entities. The ideal candidate is highly entrepreneurial, innovative, and self-motivated who thrives in a dynamic work environment and demonstrates a flexible and adaptable work style that responds efficiently under tight deadlines.Tasks are performed on behalf of multiple legal entities within the Group One Thousand One family of companies.

Main Accountabilities:


  • Reviewing the IPIT Monthly Close
  • Responsible for the monthly analysis, reporting, and forecasting of the IPIT entities
  • Leading the budget and reforecast process for IPIT entities
  • Responsible for IPIT Cash Management
  • Collaborating with the payroll accounting and analysis team on requested deliverables
  • Implementing process changes to further develop ongoing variance analysis and reporting for the IPIT entities, including standardizing and automating monthly/quarterly deliverables
  • Collaborating with the FP&A team to create a management dashboard for the IPIT entities
  • Providing various stakeholders with results and analysis on different splits of IPIT entities’ information, such as by legal entity or type of expense, as requested
  • Participating in ad-hoc projects, as needed

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related major
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MF) or certifications (CPA) beneficial
  • 5+ years progressive experience in accounting roles
  • Excellent data manipulation, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrate ability to develop and implement successful process improvement strategies
  • Experience with Workday Financials or Workday Adaptive Planning a plus
  • Experience with Power BI a plus
  • Familiarity with information technology related costs a plus
  • Advanced working knowledge of computer applications, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • A mature professional with excellent judgment, interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Superior organizational skills, detailed-oriented, and can multitask
  • Internally driven and self-motivated
  • Clear communicator with the ability to interact with senior leaders
  • Commitment to customer service and quality
