The Role We Need:
PadSplit is hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer to join an international engineering team to ensure the development of a high-quality, user-friendly interface that can attract and retain users. This role is critical for translating complex designs into efficient, scalable code while working closely in a Pod of Software and QA Engineers led by a Product Manager. We need someone who can leverage their software development expertise in making strategic technical decisions that can significantly impact PadSplit’s growth and competitive edge.
The Person We Are Looking For:
We need someone who has experience in modern frontend technologies and frameworks, such as React or Angular. The ideal candidate should have a strong eye for design and UX, coupled with the ability to to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code. The right candidate will possess leadership abilities, amazing collaboration and communication skills, and make strategic technical decisions to drive the product forward.
Here’s What You’ll Do Day-To-Day:
- Develop and maintain high-quality, responsive user interfaces using modern frontend frameworks like React or Angular.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend developers to translate requirements into technical specifications and deliverable features.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure best practices and maintainable code standards are upheld across the team.
- Optimize application performance and address any technical issues or bugs that arise.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers within the pod, fostering their growth and development.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint planning meetings to align on priorities and progress.
- Implement and maintain automated testing to ensure code reliability and quality.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, and integrate them into the development process when appropriate.
Here’s What You’ll Need To Be Successful:
- Proficiency in modern frontend frameworks and libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, along with experience in responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Experience with version control systems like Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Solid grasp of frontend build tools and package managers, such as Webpack, Babel, npm, or Yarn.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
- Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for web applications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex issues.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to mentor and guide junior developers.
The Interview Process:
- Your application will be reviewed for possible next steps by the Hiring Manager.
- If you meet eligibility requirements, the next step would be a video screen with a member of the PeopleOps team for about thirty (30) minutes.
- If warranted, the next step would be a video interview with our VP of Engineering for one (1) hour.
- If warranted, the next step would be a video panel interview with key stakeholders at PadSplit for two (2) hours.
- The panel interview will require a candidate to work on a technical assessment where you will showcase your software skills to the panel for discussion.
- If warranted, then we move to contract!
