GlobalLogic is a Hitachi Group Company.Your role is to collaborate with multidisciplinary individuals and support the project lead on data strategy and implementation projects. You will be responsible for data and systems assessment, conducting data lake gap analysis against modern best practices, the data platform strategy and modernization roadmap development.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with data engineers, business analysts, designers and other disciplines to understand data requirements and deliver accurate data solutions.
- Conduct thorough assessments of existing data and systems to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
- Perform data lake/warehouse gap analysis to compare current practices with modern best practices, identifying areas that need enhancement.
- Develop comprehensive data platform strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Create detailed modernization roadmaps to guide the organization through the data platform transformation process.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (5+ years) in data engineering, data platform architecture, or a similar role.
- Proven experience in data management, data strategy, and systems assessment.
- Experience with data lake architecture, developing data platform strategies, and modernization roadmaps.
- Experience working with cloud data platforms such as Azure, and AWS.
- Strong understanding of modern data best practices and technologies.
- Understanding of data quality principles.
- Understanding of data governance frameworks and practices.
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to successfully articulate your work and its intent to your team and your client
- A unique point of view. You are trusted to question approaches, processes, and strategies to better serve your team.
- Ability to serve as a technical lead for a data team implementing data solutions
- Strong ability to build trust and relationships with clients and key stakeholders
Location
- New York city or its vicinity, you will require to travel to the client office based in New York City up to 3 days per week.
