You will gain extensive technical knowledge of their current architecture and propose enhancements, from minor tactical modifications to full-scale rearchitecting of their data platform. You will:
- Assess existing analytics infrastructure and business processes and advise on best-in-class modern solutions for customers in a wide range of industries
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of tools, processes, and personnel to deliver informed recommendations, leveraging your expertise within the field of data analytics.
- Manage and lead comprehensive end-to-end infrastructure builds as part of a project team, including implementing cloud data warehouses, data lakes, ETL/ELT pipelines and orchestration tools
- Engage and lead multi-disciplinary teams, and become a trusted advisor working together with our clients, from data owners and analytic users to C-level executives
- Work with modern tools such as Snowflake, Databricks, Fivetran, and dbt, and write code in SQL, Python, and Spark
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the complete analytics delivery cycle, including proficiency in the latest tools and trends
- Contribute to external marketing activities including events and conferences, to position Aimpoint Digital as an expert in data platform architecture and a trusted advisor

As a Strategic Data Platform Architect, you will be expected to own and manage your client engagements, take part in the development of our practice, aid in business development, and contribute innovative ideas and initiatives to our company.
- Degree-educated in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience managing stakeholders and collaborating with customers
- Experience designing and delivering large-scale enterprise data architecture projects focusing on the analytic layer, in particular cloud data warehousing and ETL/ELT
- Experience working with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Google BigQuery, AWS Redshift, Microsoft Synapse)
- Experience working with cloud ETL/ELT tools (Fivetran, dbt, Matillion, Informatica, Talend, etc.)
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Ability to manage an individual workstream independently and ability to manage a full project team
- 5+ years working with relational databases and query languages
- 5+ years building data pipelines in production and ability to work across structured, semi-structured and unstructured data
- 5+ years data modelling (e.g., star schema, entity-relationship)
- 3+ years writing clean, maintainable, and robust code in Python, Scala, Java, or similar coding languages
- Expertise in software engineering concepts and best practices and/or DevOps
- Experience working with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop)
- Advanced certification in Snowflake or Databricks is desirable
- Advanced certification in one or more cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is desirable
This position is fully-remote; however, Atlanta-based applicants will have the opportunity to work in our new headquarters in Sandy Springs, GA.
