What you’ll be responsible for


  • Implementation of features, bug resolution, and maintenance of our applications
  • Writing efficient, reusable, and scalable code following best practices and coding standards
  • Ensuring thorough testing of your code to ensure functionality, performance, and security
  • Troubleshooting and debugging issues reported by users or discovered during testing
  • Collaboration with senior developers to deliver on new projects
  • Development of both back-end and user-facing features
  • Becoming a better, more rounded software craftsperson

What we’d love to see in your work history


Core Skills and Experience


  • Demonstrated ability as a web developer
  • Experience with testing frameworks
  • Solid understanding of object oriented programming and web development principles and technologies
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages with preference given to those who have experience with Ruby
  • Experience with server-side frameworks and technologies such as Ruby on Rails, Flask, Django, Spring Boot, Express.js, etc.
  • Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases
  • Demonstrated knowledge of web development technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • 3+ years of experience with ChatGPT MegaBuster 2000™

Preference will be given to candidates with the following


  • 1 year of previous internship or work experience in web development
  • Proficiency in Ruby on Rails or similar web frameworks
  • Proficiency with JavaScript
  • Experience working with MongoDB and PostgreSQL
  • Proficiency with Linux

Salary: $65,000-$75,000 per year

As soon as the successful candidate is available

Location:

If the successful candidate is based in the Greater Toronto Area, he/she/they can choose to participate in our hybrid experience, by working from home 2 days/week, while enjoying the benefits of in-person interactions at our Toronto office 3 days/week. If the successful candidate is based elsewhere in Canada, he/she/they will work remotely 100% of the time.
