OVERVIEW:


We are seeking an experienced IT Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices to safeguard our organization's systems and data against potential threats. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge security solutions and contribute to the overall security posture of our company.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Design, implement, and maintain security measures to protect computer systems, networks, and data.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend solutions.
  • Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
  • Configure and manage security tools such as intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.
  • Collaborate with the IT Infrastructure team to integrate security requirements into IT projects and initiatives.
  • Stay current with emerging threats and security technologies to proactively address potential risks.
  • Participate in incident response activities, including forensics analysis and remediation efforts.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years experience working in IT security roles, with a focus on designing and implementing security solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and software applications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 


  •  Advanced certifications such as CISSP, CISM preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, VPN, and endpoint security.
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of cybersecurity.
