OVERVIEW:
We are seeking an experienced IT Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices to safeguard our organization's systems and data against potential threats. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, implement, and maintain security measures to protect computer systems, networks, and data.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend solutions.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with industry regulations and best practices.
- Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
- Configure and manage security tools such as intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.
- Collaborate with the IT Infrastructure team to integrate security requirements into IT projects and initiatives.
- Stay current with emerging threats and security technologies to proactively address potential risks.
- Participate in incident response activities, including forensics analysis and remediation efforts.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years experience working in IT security roles, with a focus on designing and implementing security solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and software applications.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced certifications such as CISSP, CISM preferred.
- Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, VPN, and endpoint security.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of cybersecurity.
