POSITION


SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: 


Generate new business opportunities with existing customers while building and maintaining customer relationships through continued exceptional customer service.

ESSENTIAL


FUNCTIONS


House Account Management


  • Customer Feedback
  • Contract Review per UTX-CUS-OP-72
  • Customer complaints initiation (include QISS NCR)
  • Attend weekly customer complaints meetings
  • Follow-up on open customer complaints
  • Provide written complaint resolution to customer
  • Create and follow-up on RMA’s
  • Communicate with customer on RMA resolution (credit only, replacement, rework, etc.)
  • Participate in customer-related problem-solving activities
  • Initiate all credit memo requests

Quoting


  • Retrieve RFQ’s (via email, phone, portal, etc.)
  • Confirm capabilities with Engineering
  • Review customer specifications, drawings, and all other requirements
  • Request any additional information from the customer that may be needed for quoting purposes
  • Submit all requirements to MEG/Engineering for costs
  • Work with Planning/Production Control on lead times for quotes
  • Calculate GM/Sales Pricing on House/Prospect Accounts
  • Enter formal quote in Avante
  • Submit quote to customer (via email, phone, portal, etc.)
  • Quote follow-up
  • Work with Data Technician to ensure latest pricing is loaded into Avante on existing product 

House Account Growth & Prospecting New Accounts


  • Goal of 24 sales calls per day
  • Review current House Account business and evaluate growth potential
  • Attain additional contacts with House Accounts (Engineering support)
  • Import all contact information into Monday.com 
  • Seek opportunities with new customers through research
  • Educate House Accounts and Prospect Accounts on Utex capabilities 
  • Maintain activity record 
  • Report at least two weekly updates to management 
  • Attend in-person customer meetings (case by case)

Other Requirements:


  • Must have basic Word and Excel skills.
  • Must be able to handle confidential information.
  • Must be able to interact with customers in a professional manner.
  • Ability to work independently or as team member
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
  • Must have good communication skills; verbal and e-mail.

Required Education and Experience:


  • High school diploma or GED; 
  • Associate’s Degree or two (2) years college or five (5) or more years of inside industrial sales experience or equivalent work experience preferred.

Physical Demands


  • Moderate walking and climbing
  • Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; and stoop
  • Regular, predictable attendance is required

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work


This is a full-time position, and the hours of work and days are Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel


Some limited travel will be required.
