Edge is seeking a skilled AI Engineer to join our team. In this position, you will play a vital role in developing and integrating cutting-edge solutions using AI/ML technologies for use in a virtual test-bed environment.
You will be instrumental in creating solutions for a 1st
Edge in support of our prime contractor working a Department of Defense Operational Test & Evaluation program. This position is on-site at 1st Edge LLC, located in Huntsville, AL.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following tasks:
- Participate in small, fast-paced group using Agile processes in DevSecOps environment
- Develop AI based solutions for use in a modular framework that supports multiple cognitive algorithms and logic flows
- Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and integrated product team stakeholders to integrate AI solutions into virtual test and evaluation environment
- Follow best practices to architect and integrate solutions in framework developed across our team of industry, government and university partners
- Assist with development of a cognitive framework that is scalable to support future enhancements
- Provide reports and briefings on AI/ML model performance to industry and government partners
Essential job skills include:
- Ability to apply AI techniques in a simulated virtual test bed environment
- Knowledge of RF frequency analysis, signals and signal modulations
- Experience working with MLOps for experiment tracking and model deployment
- Strong proficiency in Python and associated packages such as Pytorch
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Prepare presentations and reports to communicate complex technical concepts to a broad audience
Desired qualifications:
- Experience with identifying and developing cognitive models representing system behavior for electronic warfare (EW) / Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) systems
- Experience with AI techniques for Reinforcement Learning
- Experience with RF signals and signal processing techniques
- Experience with AI based cyber tools for use in SIGINT environment
- Experience conducting test and evaluation activities using simulation-based test-bed
- Knowledge of Git/Gitlab and virtualization technologies such as Docker
Required qualifications:
- 3-10 years of related experience
- You must be a U.S. Citizen and have, or be able to obtain, a secret security clearance.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science/Engineering degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, mathematics, or related discipline (Master’s Degree or Ph.D. preferred)
