JOB TITLE - LOCATION

VP of Business Development - Remote within the US
As the Vice President of Business Development, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the growth trajectory of our company. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead all aspects of business development efforts, focusing on cultivating strategic partnerships and driving revenue growth through targeted sales initiatives. You will be responsible for the identification and pursuit of new business opportunities, leveraging your industry knowledge and network to establish mutually beneficial relationships with key stakeholders.

Additionally, you will oversee the development and execution of comprehensive business development strategies, ensuring alignment with company objectives and market trends.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


●  Conduct high-level industry research to develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth and market penetration●  Lead the Business Development team in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, with a particular focus on negotiating and selling to OEMs and defense contractors●  Serve as the primary point of contact for the DoD and OEM partners, fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment with their strategic objectives●  Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key DoD personnel and stakeholders, leveraging insights to tailor solutions that meet government needs●  Lead initiatives to secure defense contracts by aligning business development efforts with DoD acquisition strategies and priorities●  Provide expert guidance and regulatory and compliance matters specific to defense contracting, mitigating risks and ensuring adherence to all relevant standards●  Advocate and promote the company’s products and/or services to prospective clients, positioning us as a trusted and reliable partner●  Conduct thorough market analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and new opportunities for growth●  Participate in collaborative business meetings to update key stakeholders●  Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to assess partnership opportunities and negotiate mutually beneficial agreements●  Lead all major proposal activities, coordinating with the senior management team●  Continuously assess team performance and implement strategies to optimize productivity and effectiveness

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


● Professional degree with 10 years of relevant business development experience in the Aerospace & Defense sector●  Strong knowledge of business and sales growth techniques●  Proven track record of success in business development roles within the aviation industry, with specific experience selling to DoD, OEMs and defense contractors●  Deep understanding of the aerospace ecosystem, including knowledge of OEMs, suppliers, and regulatory frameworks●  5 years of direct experience working with DoD contracts●  Exceptional project management skills●  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with external partners and internal stakeholders●  Proven leadership experience, with a track record of effectively leading and developing high-performing teams●  Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence key decision makers at all levels of an organization●  Flexibility to travel as needed to meet with partners and attend industry events

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


●  Experience in managing sales or marketing teams●  Experience with DoD program office activities●  Degree in Business, Marketing, or Finance●  Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
