Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Latam-based
Senior Software Engineer specializing in Backend development with experience in Generative AI (GenAI). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building APIs, services, integrations, chatbots, and AI-related assistants, primarily using Node.js and any AI framework (e.g., LangChain). This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems that support our AI-driven projects.Responsibilities:
- Design and implement AI-powered assistants.
- Design and implement backend services and APIs to support the AI assistant.
- Design and implement integrations to connect the assistant with the needed interfaces (e.g., SMS, APIs)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including AI researchers/advisors, other developers, and product managers, to integrate AI models into production.
- Optimize and scale backend systems to handle large-scale AI applications.
- Ensure the robustness, security, and scalability of backend services.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in AI and backend development.
Qualifications
Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on backend development.
Technical skills:
- Extensive experience with Node.js.
- Proven experience in building and deploying AI applications (e.g., assistants) using LLMs.
- Familiarity with any AI framework.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
- Experience with cloud services (specifically, AWS): Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, SQS, SNS.
- Experience building serverless architected solutions, including monitoring, debugging, and deployment.
- Understanding of security best practices.
Soft skills:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including fluency in English.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to proactively address challenges.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ownership and ability to work independently.
Bonus skills:
- Experience with SMS services such as Twilio or Telnyx.
