Job Summary


The Quality Assurance Analyst will work with a Quality Assurance Testing Lead to ensure that the high-quality needs of the system project or initiative are met and delivered to the end users in a timely manner. The role entails testing all aspects of the User Interface, Database, and Downstream Feeds.  They also need to communicate status, submit detailed defect reports, and participate in meetings. The successful candidate will take a testing role on small projects with the key responsibilities listed below.

Main Accountabilities:


  • Works closely with software development team to assist in the validation of code deployments.
  • Develops, documents, and executes end-to-end tests as part of the overall build and deployment lifecycle.
  • Effectively communicates issue status and ensures all stakeholders are informed.
  • Support production problems resolution and testing.
  • Execute queries on IBM UniVerse Database.
  • Testing front-end and backend APIs of web and batch applications.
  • Gain experience with insurance environment including product and industry knowledge.

Qualifications:


  • Familiar with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)
  • Familiar with database structures, IBM Universe, SQL, and analysis tools (SQL Server Management Studio, Power BI, MS Access)
  • Exposure to IBM UniVerse, LifeCAD, VB/VBA, C++, Java, Python, or other Object-oriented programming language a plus.
  • Strong oral, written, and listening and ability to clearly articulate complex information to others.
  • Intellectual curiosity and tenacity to figure out the why and how.
  • High level of creativity and quick problem-solving capabilities.
  • Detail oriented with strong focus on product quality.
  • Ability to establish positive relationships and work effectively with others.
  • College Degree in Information Technology, Business, Math, or a related field, or comparable certificate is preferred
  • Experience with financial services, Insurance and annuities is a plus
