We have established ourselves as a specialty consultancy company that provides outstanding technical consulting services in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, information security, cloud transformation, and compliance framework solutions. We are currently guiding a large customer through a complex change initiative that involves redesigning a legacy on-prem custom business application to the AWS cloud using cloud-native technologies.
Job Summary
The IT Project Manager will be responsible for managing multiple client-facing projects simultaneously within the constraints of scope, quality, time, and cost using established guidelines and approved methodologies to deliver specific requirements and meet client satisfaction. This position will be primarily remote, with some travel to client locations required occasionally.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes, identifying problems, evaluating trends and anticipating requirements.
- Lead planning and/or implementation of projects.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
- Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables.
- Follow an agreed upon project management methodology (client driven).
- Develop a project plan at an appropriate level of detail as required to track and report progress and to lead to a successful outcome.
- Leverage Waterfall and Agile project delivery methodologies to successfully manage IT projects.
- Use appropriate change management processes to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
- Perform risk and issue management to minimize project risk and impacts to their project.
- Report and escalate project issues to management as needed.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Strong schedule management and resource management skills
Qualifications and Skills
- PMP certified (Preferred)
- Agile Scrum Master certified (Preferred)
- 5+ Years proven working experience in Project Management of large IT projects.
- Has Project Management skills and experience in both waterfall and agile delivery frameworks.
- Desired Education- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience working in the Health and Human Services field, preferably Medicaid or related health insurance discipline.
- Solid technical background, understands or has direct experience in software development and web technologies.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills over a wide range of audiences and mediums (written, verbal, presentation)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Ability to collaborate closely with others.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Project tool sets.
