Full-timeDescriptionThe Investment Operations Analyst, Trading is responsible for performing operational activities pertaining to the daily firm brokerage trading, centralized trading, and servicing of client brokerage accounts for the firm. Requirements

Principal Accountabilities:


1. Trading


· Develops expertise in understanding and utilizing all facets of Orion Eclipse trading platform· Performs quality control functions related to the Investment Operations department· Processes all firm trades through trading platforms· Researches rejected trade orders and quickly resolves issues· Maintains Orion Eclipse trading platform used by the firm· Updates Eclipse to implement model changes provided by the Investment Strategy Group (ISG)· Completes daily overdraft checks and daily trade checks for the Investment Operations department· Communicates with necessary parties on various trade-related concerns

2. Centralized Trading


· Processes trade submissions and executes trades daily on centralized trade cases created by advisory teams· Performs weekly checks to verify all centrally traded accounts are coded properly· Performs risk management checks to minimize trading issues and disruptions· Completes quarterly rebalancing for centrally traded strategies; performs series of checks before trading to    minimize trade-related issues· After rebalancing, analyzes data to confirm all account trades have been completed, reviews any exceptions, resolves outstanding issues, and saves data for recording purposes 

3. Trade Corrections


· Reviews trade correction information provided by advisor teams, follows up if changes are needed, and provides additional information so corrections can be processed with custodian· Translates correction data and creates proper formatting of equity and mutual fund trade corrections to meet custodian requirements· Submits all correction information to custodian; confirms corrections were processed accurately· For trade corrections that cannot be processed with custodians, works with advisor teams so correcting trades are executed in client accounts, then performs detailed manual P&L calculations 

4. Profit and Loss Reporting


· Processes transaction reports in custodian platforms and uses trade correction backup to match trade execution data and dividend adjustments· Notates trade error information on Trade Error Log for Investment/Compliance/Finance departments· Updates Compliance tracking system with P&L amounts and revises error reasoning for updating trade error cases· Provides Finance and Compliance with monthly P&L information

5. Service Support/Administration


· Responds to inquiries from advisory teams via phone, email, and internal communication platforms· Educates and creates/supplies training aides to advisory teams on Investment Department processes· Develops procedures and workflows for new products and services in the Investment Department· Acts as firm liaison for all custodial relationships· Establishes and manages user access and data in trading platform and custodian platforms· Approaches work, interactions, and relationships in a manner consistent with the Company’s Core Values

6. Other Areas of Responsibility


· Supports Compliance/Investment Department in providing any data needed in requests from regulators· Modifies Investment Operations procedures and workflows as necessary· Updates Investment Operations statistics daily· Maintains the highest Compliance standards by adhering to the firm’s Human Resources guidelines, Compliance policies and procedures, professional designation standards, and industry's regulatory standards to mitigate risk to the firm

Qualifications:


· Keen attention to detail and strong business mathematical skills and investment acumen· Proficiency with prioritization and proactive planning, including the ability to complete multiple time-sensitive tasks accurately and efficiently· Personal integrity and ability to discreetly handle and manage confidential data· Capability to excel in a team environment and work independently under limited supervision· Desire to serve our internal clients and co-workers with excellence· Proven strong technical and analytical skills· Proven excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for communicating with internal teams and external vendors· Aptitude for problem-solving, research, and follow up in a timely and consistent manner· Passion for learning new things quickly with a strong work ethic in an ever-changing business environment

Education, Experience & Skills:


· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field is preferred.· A minimum of one to two (1-2) years’ prior investment operations/brokerage experience is required· Demonstrated excellent Microsoft Excel knowledge and analysis skills
