SUMMARY
The Fragrance Development department at ScentAir manages and develops a high volume of fragrances for customer supplied, signature development and library offerings. The Fragrance Manager organizes customer and/or product-specific projects and is often the single “go to” point-of-contact for assigned projects. The Fragrance Manager performs also administrative tasks such as data entry, requesting materials for testing, organizing fragrance samples and supporting project communications. The role frequently interfaces and communicates with the company’s worldwide Client Relations professionals as well as external vendors to ensure customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Orders, receives and maintains materials from ScentAir Operations for fragrance development testing purposes.
- Creates finished goods items in ScentAir’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
- Maintenance of a database for label printing; ensure that our product labels comply with the legislation.
- First line support to the Sales and Marketing team, requiring interaction with clients, suppliers and other team members.
- Manage and control the development cycle of fragrances and assist in the promotion of new products.
- Supports the organization of fragrance development lab and samples.
- Assists with project management with an emphasis on communicating the status of development projects.
- Regularly produces and ships fragrance samples for field-based sales team.
- Provides data and assists with producing standard reports for Fragrance Development activities.
- Orders, receives and maintains materials from outside vendors for fragrance development testing purposes.
- Produces and ships fragrance samples to customers and/or sales team.
- Facilitates internal fragrance development and operational processes; serves as a key contributor to continuous improvement thereof.
- Works with Engineering or outside vendor/partners for product development projects as assigned; supporting company growth and profitability through new product development and innovation.
- Authors and assists authoring of standard reports for Fragrance Development activities; analyzes trends and identifies opportunities for growth and cost reduction.
- Maintains superior organization of fragrance development lab, samples, tools and equipment.
- Participate to fragrance evaluations with library recommendations.
- Participate / manage registration of our fragrances and products in countries where ScentAir operates
- Update / improve fragrance consumption data base, by collecting data / doing self-test
- Organize Fragrance training for sales team
- Collaborate with purchasing, to negotiate and improve our conditions with suppliers.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Associates degree, 5 + years of working experience, strong written and verbal communication
- Fluent in English and French, other language a plus
- Based in Toulouse (France), Slough (UK), Madrid (Spain) or Rotterdam (NL)
- Demonstrable administrative and organization skills
- Interest in and willingness to learn fragrance evaluation skills and techniques
- Operates with a sense of urgency
- Experience working with CRM and/or ERP system
- Diligent in follow-up and follow-through
- Competent in Microsoft Office
