Edge is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team. In this position, you will play a vital role in developing and integrating cutting-edge solutions for use in a virtual test-bed environment.
You will be instrumental in crafting software solution for 1st Edge in support of our prime contractor working a Department of Defense Operational Test & Evaluation program. This position is on-site at 1st Edge LLC, located in Huntsville, AL.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following tasks:
- Participate in small, fast-paced group using Agile processes in DevSecOps environment
- Creating and documenting software architecture and design
- Develop modular software solutions that support multiple microservice agents and logic flows
- Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and integrated product team stakeholders to integrate software into virtual test and evaluation environment
- Follow best practices to architect and integrate software in framework developed across our team of industry, government and university partners
- Assist with development of a backend framework that is scalable to support future enhancements
Essential job skills include:
- Experience with service-oriented containerization
- Proficiency in Object Oriented Programming
- Strong proficiency in Python and associated packages such as NumPy
- Experience designing and implementing APIs for Python backend applications
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Contribute to presentations and reports that communicate complex technical concepts to a broad audience
Desired qualifications:
- Experience with electronic warfare (EW) / Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) systems
- Knowledge of RF frequency analysis, signals and signal modulations
- Experience with developing framework for processing RF signals and signal processing techniques
- Experience developing interfaces for use in simulation-based test-bed
- Experience designing and implementing APIs for Python backend applications
- Knowledge of gRPC, JSON, and other framework / task orchestration tools
Required qualifications:
- 5-10 years of related experience
- You must be a U.S. Citizen and have, or be able to obtain, a secret security clearance.

- Bachelor of Science/Engineering degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, mathematics, or related discipline
