Job Overview:
CapCenter is looking for an operations expert and people leader who is dedicated to client satisfaction and delivering results. This is an entrepreneur who is encouraged to create new ways to improve processes, hit metrics and solve client pain points. The role will report to the Senior Director of Mortgage Operations and be responsible for overseeing the fulfillment teams. CapCenter is a best in class business where exceptional talent can both operate strategically and execute tactically.
Responsibilities:
- Accountability. Own business objectives that drive results. Develop an agenda that improves throughput, cycle-time, quality and cost while improving KPI transparency and reporting.
- Underwriting Quality. Maintain best in class loan quality. Improve system compliance and standardization across operations including audits, change management, client experience etc.
- Process Efficiency. Deliver through others and your own tactical execution to drive continuous improvement in fulfillment processes leveraging a highly data-driven approach. Implement origination system changes to drive efficiency and partner with Digital initiatives that automate the fulfillment process.
- People Leadership. Collaborate in the development of operating structures, compensation / incentives, and leadership succession within Closing Operations. Drive long-term strategy and key priorities for the mortgage operations team working in partnership with other departments and key stakeholders.
- Culture and Engagement. Culture is a key ingredient to our success. You will lead by example to unlock your team’s potential and drive innovation in the Client process
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in mortgage loan underwriting/operations and/or settlement operations; MBA a plus
- FHA, VA, Conventional and Automated Underwriting (DU) experience required
- Understanding of regulatory compliance framework that applies to the mortgage industry
- Analytically minded, a creative problem solver, and a high impact driver of corporate culture
- Successful track record of designing and optimizing processes as well as leading teams
- Experience leading and growing teams from 5 – 10 people
