Purpose
The Director of Human Resources directs, plans and coordinates the Human Resources group. This position develops and executes strategy for successful Human Resources activities across all locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Develop corporate plans for a variety of HR matters such as compensation, benefits, health and safety etc.
- Ensure the organization complies with federal, state, local, and industry labor and safety laws and policies.
- Reviews the Human Resources and Environmental, Health and Safety trends to ensure a safe, secure, engaged and compliant work environment.
- Overseeing all HR initiatives, systems and tactics.
- Oversee the organizations hiring, training, and retention practices.
- Establish a corporate culture that helps support the organizations business model.
- Develop strategies and best practices to support the organizations long term strategic growth.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in required (MBA preferred).
- 10 plus years of experience in Human Resources.
- Human resource experience in the automotive manufacturing industry
- Strong leadership and managerial skills to oversee the HR department and work with all employees within the company.
- Experience with Benefits Administration.
- Project and time management skills.
- PHR/SPHR certification preferred.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position manages Corporate and Plant Human Resources Managers and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of those employees.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting with occasional plant floor visits and observation.
