Job Description


The Accounts Payable Analyst is responsible for recording accounting transactions in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. The AP Analyst will at times be required to interface with operational managers and other teams within the organization as well as being vendor facing. This role will be responsible for reporting to management on the status of the vendor accounts and escalated issues, resolve problems independently and identify system improvements as needed.

Qualifications


  • 2 years of relevant Accounts Payable experience
  • Must be proficient using MS Office, with strong focus in Excel.
  • Experience using NetSuite strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of accounts payable and general ledger accounting
  • Work extended hours as needed.

Additional Information


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPENTECIES 

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices.
  • Responsible for payments on vendor invoices.
  • Perform check runs and reconcile accounts payable transactions.
  • Verification and setup of new vendor accounts.
  • Monitors data through audit reports and internal control procedures
  • Participates in annual audits.
  • Adhere to deadlines for monthly AP Close processes.
  • Monitor AP aging and interact with vendors
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must be available for travel if required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle a fast paced, high-volume environment.
  • Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to build stable working relationships both internally and externally.
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Work well under pressure.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and as an individual contributor independently.
  • Must be comfortable communicating by telephone and electronic means with vendors.
