As a senior strategic team member, the Integrated Media Planning Associate Director (IMPAD) is responsible for leading multichannel integrated media strategy and planning for assigned clients, and will contribute to other plans, oversee work and provide team mentorship. The IMPAD is accountable for research, development, presentation and execution of client media strategy and plans with limited oversight. The IMPAD is responsible for working with and leading integrated media brand teams in the creation of media strategies and plans, providing strategic leadership on measurement, reporting and optimization and building strong and trusted client relationships.The IMPAD will participate as the strategic media planning lead in workshops and will lead internal team briefings and integrated media team brainstorming sessions.
The IMPAD will work closely with Insights and Brand Strategy to develop personas and communications strategies that analyze audiences based on media consumption and behavior and will delegate these functions as appropriate amongst Integrated Media and Strategy team members.The IMPAD will bring creative solutions to client initiatives, working in conjunction with the Integrated Media and Strategy, Client Engagement, Insights and Brand Strategy, Public Relations, Content Marketing, Social Media, and Creative team members.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities as Integrated Media Planning Associate Director
- Lead consistent and effective Wray Ward media strategy and planning processes
- Set the strategic media direction for assigned clients
- Oversee media strategy and plan development for assigned clients
- Work with Insights and Brand Strategy to develop personas, journeys and communications strategies
- Present media strategy and media plans to internal teams and clients
- Work hand in hand with the Integrated Media and Strategy, Client Engagement, Insights and Brand Strategy, Public Relations, Content Marketing, Social Media, and Creative teams
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, internal teams and media partners
- Provide mentorship and guidance for Integrated Media and Strategy team members
- Maintain the highest knowledge of media channel strategies and networks
- Bring new ideas and champion the use of integrated Connections strategies to reach audiences

- Convey the role of our Connections and Integrated Media and Strategy team agency wide, building confidence in and understanding of the discipline and offering
- Provide mentorship to the Integrated Media and Strategy team and other teams throughout Connections

Requirements
- 5-7+ years’ experience as a media strategist and planner in an agency environment
- Extensive experience planning multichannel, integrated media campaigns
- Strong organizational skills to effectively manage multiple projects at a time
- Knowledge of the holistic media landscape
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, demonstrating energy and passion for the work
- Effective problem-solver and generator of innovative solutions
- Focus on delivering great work, no matter how big or small the project
- Well-versed in applicable software and using MRI-Simmons, Comscore and other data resources to build and support recommendations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications
- Bachelor’s degree
