What You'll Do
- This is a hands-on role where most of your time will be writing backend code in Node.js.
- Work with clients designing, developing, and supporting APIs and services for use by various web and mobile app clients.
- Look at the bigger picture; understand how the technology will fit within the client’s ecosystem and consider how the technology will impact people and processes.
- Mentor and guide a small team of engineers and technical consultants to efficiently write quality code at pace.
- Update the client on team progress, challenges, and risks.
- Translate user stories and functional requirements into technical designs.
- Design, build, and maintain high-quality technology solutions that deliver an exceptional customer experience.
- Boost team velocity by developing and implementing quality code in line with Acceptance Criteria and Definition Of Done.
- Assist with the identification and definition of key architectures, components and interfaces, design of data model and data/information flows.
- Estimate level of effort to complete user stories.
- Create new features or parts of applications with the end user in mind, providing the best experience.
- Partner with technology teams throughout the organization to build best-in-class CX.
What You'll Bring
- 10+ years of backend software development experience, including lead experience.
- Strong confidence writing code in Node.js.
- Experience developing software in a cloud-based environment (e.g. Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure DevOps).
- Experience leading a small team of engineers.
- Consulting experience or experience owning a client relationship.
- Maintain clean “code hygiene” and adhering to coding standards (formatting and documenting code, code merges with other engineer’s code).
- Extreme attention to detail with regards to code quality.
- Experience creating APIs.
- Experience working in the Agile methodology.
- Positive attitude and an ability to work well with clients and Experient Group team members.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and proven experience in designing complex systems solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Passion for learning and a passion for solving business problems with technology.
- Intellectually curious and communicative.
- Strong inclination to create and maintain good documentation.
- Strong, collaborative team player.
- Familiarity / experience with GIT.
- AWS experience preferred.
- MongoDB experience preferred
- Healthcare industry experience preferred
