The ideal candidate will be able to:
- Create and maintain central services and tools for product teams to successfully enable observability and monitoring for their applications
- Create and maintain Cloud Infrastructure with an Infrastructure-as-code approach
- Work with development teams to create and establish proper observability standards
- Develop and maintain data streaming technologies across the company's product range
- Participate in on-call activities as needed or assigned
- Support and educate product development teams
- Seek continual improvement in business and technical processes
What skill are we searching for?
- At least 4+ years of programming experience (Python, Golang, or similar)
- Infrastructure as code experience (Terraform preferred)
- Experience building and maintaining Observability & Monitoring solutions
- Experience building and supporting cloud applications and resources in AWS
- Experience building and running production workloads in Kubernetes
- At least 3+ years working with DevOps methodologies
- At least 3+ years working, supporting, and building web applications
- At least 3+ years of supporting production systems in the cloud
- Strong independent troubleshooting skills
- Self-driven and takes pride in doing things well
- Strong communication skills to work with and support product development teams
- Excellent command of written and spoken English (min. B2 level)
Perfect candidate also has:
- Experience with Observability & Monitoring tools (Grafana, Datadog)
- Experience with OpenTelemetry standards and technologies
- Experience in writing and/or supporting Django, Flask, or similar web frameworks
- Knowledge of GitOps
- Proficiency in data streaming technologies and message brokering systems (Kafka, Spark)
- Knowledge of the CNCF landscape including Kubernetes, Helm, Helmfile, etc.
- Familiarity working in a compliance-oriented environment (PCI, SOC2)
