Somethings is on a mission to end the youth mental health crisis. We’re building the future of mental wellness care specifically for GenZ and we’re looking for mentors and to help us enable 1 million teens to live better lives.

What we're seeking


We're looking for empathetic who want to help support the next generation in feeling their best. As a Somethings Mentor, you will be able to help teenagers navigate the difficulties of their adolescent years and enable them to live their happiest, healthiest, life.

Key qualifications



  • Must be licensed as a Certified Peer Specialist in any state

  • Overcome a major life experience and have a deep passion for helping others

  • Have some experience working in crisis intervention and deescalation

  • Enrolled in or completed a 4 year college

  • Are willing to share your personal story and live experiences

  • Fluent in English

  • Highly organized

What we offer you



  • Free initial training & certification as a Certified Peer Specialist, with further educational opportunities

  • A meaningful role where you use your own lived experience to help others

  • $20 per hour for 25 hours a week.

  • Mon - Thurs: 5 PM -10 PM EST

  • Fri: 5 - 7 PM EST

  • Sun: 4- 7 PM EST

  • Plus a few days off each month!

  • Flexible working location (remote support sessions)

  • Relevant work experience for future jobs in mental health and other fields

  • Incredible experiences working directly with teens in crisis  

Expectations & requirements


There will be two interviews that can be completed quickly. Afterwards,You will be expected to complete a 4-hour live Somethings internal training.

SOMETHINGS is the first mental health platform for teenagers that connects them with trained, 20-something mentors who help them thrive and provide their parents with peace of mind. Mentors are trained & supervised to provide wellness support in a flexible way throughout the month via text and video calls.
