Pair is seeking a Maintenance Technician II hiring for our prescription eyewear manufacturing department in Irvine, CA. This role will report to our Facilities/Maintenance Manager/Director.
What You’ll Do:
- Maintain company Health and Safety standards including PPE (where applicable).
- Follow OSHA safety regulations when performing all maintenance.
- Participate in training of new Operator associates when needed.
- Support the Rx-Lab production teams in driving low machine down times by executing repairs and planned preventive maintenance.
- Support the implementation of standard operating procedures (SOP) to ensure efficient and effective processes.
- Provide Maintenance Leadership with updates; in order to proactively identify problems.
- Troubleshoot production equipment errors.
- Communicate with other department leaders, to assure they are aware of machine status to adjust workflow to account for affected equipment.
- Interact daily with Production Leadership, Quality Department, and other groups to keep operations running smoothly and properly.
- Execute the daily prioritization of Preventive Maintenances and Repairs, escalating any and all delays or issues to Maintenance Leadership.
- Responsible for performing parts audits, placing orders, receiving orders, and putting away replenishment parts in an organized and timely manner.Provide project support across all departments.
- Maintain excellent working relationships with all other departments.
Who You Are:
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Capable of operating all production areas self-sufficiently.
- Able to pass OSHA training requirements for heavy equipment operation within 90 days.
- Competent in safely operating various types of machinery and reporting abnormalities to supervisors.
- Skilled in using formal Root Cause Analysis tools (e.g., fishbone, 5 why, Pareto) to resolve production issues.
- Actively involved in continuous improvement.
- Effective communicator and team player.
- Strong multitasking abilities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Self-motivated and efficient problem solver.
- Able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in computer use.
- Responsible for ensuring safe and best practices for team members.
- Knowledgeable in building utilities and understands facilities service shut-offs.
Need to Have:.
- 3-5+ years of experience in Industrial Maintenance/Equipment Processes/Building Facilities Roles.
- Proficiency in electromechanical troubleshooting.
- Experience using multimeters and other electrical test equipment.
- Associates degree or trade school diploma/certification.
- Ability to work various shift schedules, including holidays and weekends as needed.
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work on your feet for most of the shift and handle materials up to 70 pounds with assistance.
- Willingness to work indoors, outdoors, and in inclement weather.
- Ability to pass Electro/Mechanical written tests.
- Experience in leading and teaching other team members.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Optical Equipment.
- Experience with Lens Manufacturing Process (Surfacing, Coating, Edging, etc…).
- Experience working with Human Machine Interfaces..
- Proficiency with CMMS Programs.
- Experience with Inventory Management.

At Pair, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. The pay range for this position is expected to be between $26.00/hr- $28.00/hr and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience.
