Job Summary


Juvare is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented AP Staff Accountant to join the Accounting team. As a part of this position, you will be working closely with internal and external customers to resolve any questions, concerns, or disputes and ensure accurate and timely payments of our vendor invoices. This role is also responsible for applying the principles of US GAAP to month-end closing, cash application, account reconciliations, and P&L analysis.

What You’ll Do


  • Provide excellent, timely customer service
  • Ensure the timely flow of financial documents (invoices/POs/ Other) follows standard operating procedures for vendor statement reconciliation, accounting treatment review and GL coding
  • Prepare and process all vendor payments
  • Reconcile and analyze various accounts, including but not limited to cash, payables, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accruals, and various liabilities.
  • Prepares monthly account schedules and reconciliations, including, but not limited to, prepaid expenses, other assets, and accrued liabilities
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of process flows and internal controls.
  • Responsible for researching and resolving invoice discrepancies while working and communicating with internal and external customers
  • Vendor Management: Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors, responding to inquiries, resolving payment discrepancies, and addressing any vendor-related issues.
  • Maintain all 1099 records for all applicable Vendors
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to help improve overall processes, drive efficiency, and ensure compliance with internal controls
  • Supports external audit requests by providing account analyses and support for selections
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Finance or relevant field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Staff Accountant role
  • Advanced understanding of AP aging and/or account reconciliation process
  • Proficient in data entry with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experienced with MS Excel and ERP software
  • Confident decision maker with the ability to identify issues and action resolution
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have highly developed written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Nice to Have


  • Experience working with NetSuite
  • Knowledge of 1099 preparation
