Job Summary
Gas South is seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team. The HRBP will play a crucial role in aligning human resources initiatives with business objectives, fostering a positive work culture, and driving organizational effectiveness. Job Responsibilities
- Consults with managers on performance-related matters to optimize performance of team members and steers them to the Employee Relations team to manage performance and disciplinary actions
- Supports HR deliverables including, but not limited to, mid-year and year-end promotions, annual merit and bonus planning, and quarterly engagement surveys
- Supports orientation for newly hired and newly promoted managers as well as collects feedback via, onboarding surveys, and exit interviews for departing employees
- Partners with managers to retain, develop, and motivate team members to achieve their fullest potential
- Support and lead employee engagement processes, assessing areas of opportunity, and implementing effective actions based on survey results
- Facilitate workshops and training, as needed, to client groups to allow for employee development
- Provide day-to-day HR support to the employees and managers in the areas of policy and procedures, employee relations, employee engagement, coaching and mentoring, performance management, selection, and onboarding of new talent, reorganization consultations as well as tactical items in support of the HRBP team strategy
- Partner with the greater HR Business Partner team in the design, development, and execution of key HR strategic processes to include the performance management cycle, talent management activities, and facilitation of employee engagement planning and execution with the business leaders
- Leverage internal HR partners including Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Internal Communications, HR Systems and Analytics, and Total Rewards on various projects, looping in the appropriate partners for a given situation
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to assist in recruiting top talent, making hiring decisions, and crafting employment offers based on market compensation data, ensuring appropriate offers are extended to selected candidates
- Exhibit sound reasoning and decision-making skills, applying HR principles as well as direction from manager to drive desired outcomes
- Responsible for tactical items that may include I-9 processing, HR data review and processing, employment/personnel file management and other tasks as assigned
Experience/Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or 5+ years of progressive HR experience.
- 4-6 Years HRBP experience supporting leaders with performance management, talent acquisition, org design and establishing healthy departmental cultures.
- Working knowledge of HR principles and procedures as well as intermediate understanding of the laws and regulations that govern the workforce.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and Microsoft Outlook.
Preferred Experience
- Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. Critical thinker with success in developing innovative solutions to business issues.
- Human Resource Certifications i.e. SHRM, SHRM-CP, HRCI, etc.
Preferred LocationAtlanta, GA (hybrid with in-office attendance 2-3 times a week)
