Accounts Payable Specialist

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for coordinating, developing and supervising systems for the general ledger and other financial reporting
• Usually supervises a staff of Accountants and Financial Analysts
• May perform more complex accounting functions as required 
• Normally reports to the manager of Accounting
• May supervise employees as well as perform the accounting function.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Identifying the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts.
• Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
• Monitoring financial information
• Search files, databases or reference materials to obtain needed information.

Preferred:

• Talking to others to convey information effectively.
• Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations.

Education and Experience:

• Typically requires a degree in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of four to six years accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
