Target Marketing Group, a Helm Company, is seeking a talented mid-level Accounting Supervisor to join our growing small business. Oversee all areas of the TMG Accounting department including accounting, billing, and treasury through the following responsibilities:

  • Manage, mentor and performance manage employees within the accounting department.
  • Ensure the general ledger for all entities is maintained in full GAAP compliance.
  • Partner with commercial facing functions of the business on pricing and margin analysis for new or renewing business opportunities.
  • Ensure processes and procedures for all supervised areas are documented and reviewed periodically for improvement.
  • Act as the main point of contact for external accounting reviews and lender directed line of credit of audits.
  • Manage the accounting system software and provide recommendations for changes to the software that should be reviewed.
  • Build partnerships with all internal customers of the accounting and finance department to ensure a team orientated approach toward month end close, reporting and issue resolution.
  • Provide timely reporting as agreed by the company with our clients as deemed necessary for preparation of the report to be Completed within the accounting department.
  • Maintain written procedures on all primary responsibilities.
  • Manage ad hoc projects and analysis as requested by the President.

  • Effective project management skills
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal

Education/Experience:


Must have bachelor’s degree in accounting with a minimum of 5 years of progressively growing accounting responsibilities, including a minimum of 4 years of management of accounting staff required. CPA and public accounting experience a plus. Demonstrated experience of Great Plains accounting software is a plus. Strong Microsoft Excel skills mandatory.
